What This Site Is
NolaDreamsOfChicky is a personal project — a free music site where we share AI-generated songs inspired by children's books. It is operated by Ben Altieri as an individual, not a company.
What We Collect
We collect the minimum data needed to make the site work:
- Account info: If you sign in (via Google or GitHub), we store your email address and display name through Supabase Auth.
- Favorites: Songs you mark as favorites are stored in our database, linked to your account.
- Listen history: When you're logged in and play a song, we record which song you played and when.
- Analytics: We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which collect anonymous, aggregated page view data (no cookies, no personal tracking). This tells us how many people visit, not who they are.
We do not collect:
- Payment information (everything is free)
- Location data beyond country-level analytics
- Browsing activity outside this site
- Data from children — this site is for parents, not kids directly
How We Use Your Data
- To show you your favorited songs and listening history
- To understand how many people visit the site (anonymous analytics)
- That's it. We don't sell, share, or monetize your data.
Third-Party Services
We use the following services that may process your data:
- Supabase (database and authentication) — stores your account and activity data
- Vercel (hosting and analytics) — serves the site and collects anonymous analytics
- Google / GitHub (sign-in only) — we receive your email and name when you sign in; we don't access anything else from your account
- Suno — songs are streamed from Suno's CDN; they may log access to audio files
- Amazon — book links use Amazon affiliate tracking to measure if visitors purchase the source books
Cookies
We use cookies only for authentication (keeping you signed in). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies. You can clear your cookies at any time by logging out or clearing your browser data.
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete your account: Contact us and we'll remove all your data from Supabase.
- Export your data: Contact us and we'll provide what we have (it's not much).
- Use the site without an account: All songs are freely accessible without signing in.
If you're in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. We'll honor these — just reach out.
Children's Privacy
This site is designed for parents, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For a personal project of this size, changes are unlikely — but if something significant changes, we'll note it here.
